    The Economy is correcting itself.

    Greeeeeeeeeeeeed created this problem.

I am 100% certain you didn't give 2 figs about the negative consequences of the "Boom" before it affected YOU. :rotfl:

What makes you think I am worried ?I am replying to you because I do not understand you, not every one who has purchased a house has done so out of greed people need homes plain and simple ,so why would you get any joy out of a hard working mother and father loosing their home and job, tell me what have they done wrong in your eyes .
for your information I own my house outright and am retired and I do not give two hoots what the value is, as I am not selling it .

I've been trying to find the graph that showed house prices and income multiples (2 separate lines, same x and y axis) I've searched this forum and HPC forum but I can't find it. It was definitely on one these forums. I've searched google but the graphs I've found confused me.

Surley checking your house price every day is very expensive.
Having a suveyor round every day sounds very excessive.
Mind you making you own post up which you have to post on each day to keep it visable also seems a bit excessive also.

they really do think it is wealth that they have.

They are to stupid to see that it is made and taken away by other people the market makers.

Many years ago I used to know a bloke who I nic-named shlt for brains

This was back in the 80's boom he on a weekly basis used to regale me with how much his house was worth this week. I was 18 years old and still even with all that inexperience used to think but you will never actually get to use a penny of it or spend 1 single quid of it.

he died at 50 having seen not one single penny of it and used not single quid.

He like many others just spent a misserable existence thinking he had something yet he never really did.

the people of this country are weird
    I hate them all!

As there's nothing we can do....... seems sticking my head in the sand would be the best course of action..... either that or just get along with what I have and not worry about what may or may not happen!

I don't have a job, don't claim benefits, don't have a mortgage, don't live some exotic, expensive lifestyle, don't have buckets of money stashed in investments or accounts and don't have any debt. I just live within my means and as much as I'd like lots of new sparkly things, if I can't afford something.... I don't buy it!
There's so much negativity around at the moment, when are we going to get back to seeing quality of life as being something more important than how much we can make and how much we can buy!
I'm not a believer in money can't buy you happiness.... stick 10 million in my account and see how happy that makes me!!! :D but until that happens, I'll make do with what I have and be grateful for it.

Just being nosey, can I ask how you support yourself? If you have no job and don't claim benefits? If you have no mortgage do you pay rent?
