Don't see why not - no depositor will be at risk.

It's not set in stone, although it's almost certain to go through (due to back room pressure from the government), I wonder how many of the LTSB shareholders are happy at taking on HBOS?

    Hello,

just wonder if the take over from Lloyds will affect the Halifax Regular Saver option as it has been extended since the end of October.

Really you have nothing to worry about, you will not lose a penny should the worst happen (which it won't) there is no way the government would let that happen, HBOS has millions of customers.

I really wish people would stop worrying, until all the recent media hype most didn't give it a second thought, yet in theory a bank could have gone bust years ago.

Did anyone lose a penny in NR? No. (Including those with over 35K.)
Did anyone lose a penny in B+B? No. (Diito.)
Will anyone lose a penny in HBOS? No. (And, ditto.)

Even when it is accepted it could take years for the merge to complete! When BOS merged with Halifax it took around 2 years for it all to be updated and systems to merge so I wouldn't worry about any of the products you want to take out or have they are not going to change...
