  • I have used this company for Years. I must say the service IS second to none.
You state that “have been taken advantage of” yet in your original post you State that the company had called you and quoted you a new price of £150 for a new hard disk drive and probably the reinstallation of your software operating system. It was your choice to give them to go ahead. You also failed to state how long the repair took. From past experience I suspect it would have been completed within 2-4 days depending on when you requested the work be completed by. You certainly would get that kind of service from PC world.
In the companies defence, how do you explain to an OP why there hard disk drive has failed and how? They could see the last software installation but that wasn’t the cause of the failure.
The Manager at the branch is called Peter and would Never call a customer a liar, unless they were.
You said “I would`ve offered to install the McAfee at half price to make up for the misunderstanding” of course you would!
£50 in the cost of a re install of your operating system. Not for the purchase and subsequent installation of McAfee. McAfee itself is £35 as stated by a prevision poster. What is the Big deal with installing your our software? I assume it is inability to do so yourself or sheer laziness.
I suspect that YOU were simply confused and feel hard done by. However you WAS quoted by the company before any work Had been done.
Why didn’t you just collect your PC system and take it to PC World? Again it was laziness or that you wanted your PC system back within a month.
PS the company has been in business at least for the last 13 years. Any Pc company around for that long don’t RIP people off….

Hmmm...not a TROLL are you perchance?

I think you`ll find that the company has either changed its name (big surprise) or moved as it not longer has a sign up.

I remember my experience very clearly as I was taken advantage of. Nothing was explained to me in Laymans terms even when I said that I didn`t understand what the problem with the computer was.

So please do not come on here telling me that you know what went on that day, because you don`t.
Especially when I found out afterwards from several other people that I shouldn`t have touched that company with a barge pole due them ripping off previous customers in the same way.

Love it! Resurrects a thread from 2009 - would have been better left alone!

Nashslash - suggest you treat yourself to a new keyboard (if you can afford to have you fit it) because yours keeps putting in random CapitaL leTters....
