    Serious Question. If the bank won't be allowed to go bust by the Icelandic government (if worst comes to the worst), what is the point of withdrawing money?

    Quite, and one many of us argue every day. As per all banks in the UK too - but people panic and act irrationally - if they didn't things would be calmer.

    Look at all the cash disappearing into Irish banks now: crazy!
