I'll be taking my money out, but not because of panic, but because I can now combine it with one of my other accounts once the £50k limit comes in on Tuesday :T
I must have been living in a bubble today (well it is my birthday!) Hadn't heard that great news (not that you are taking your money out, but the 50k protection!)

Quite, and one many of us argue every day. As per all banks in the UK too - but people panic and act irrationally - if they didn't things would be calmer.
