cheets99 wrote:well people have been ignorate towards the 360 for months, so why should they seem to think they can get one today, when its been over 3 months since pre-orders started.
I pre-ordered mine with Asda on the 7th October which is 2months ago - although I've been told by Asda I will not get it before xmas as Microsoft have reduced the initial allocation numbers - even though they had limited numbers on the shelves of their stores early this morning they have told me that "each part of the business receive their own allocation".0 -
I just opened up my 360! Damn this thing is too good to be true! The quality is just breathtaking and the performance out of this world!! Thank You Microsoft! I was going to sell it but not anymore!!0

there should be no bitterness here, it's the typical human condition :-(
those that WANTED these either pre-ordered 3 months ago (i did, i got dissapointed they couldnt fill my pre-order, stupidly i waited a week before I went down and put my name down) or queued for 8 hours (I did and i got one)
those that did neither, i'm sorry, it's not our fault, there are NO excuses at all here i'm afraid.
in the queue i was in, one girl PAID her sister to wait for 5 hours until she finished her shift at work, then they swapped
the woman at the front rang her husband to come down to swap for half hour so she could get things done
the girl at the end of the queue, she came in on the off chance at 5.30 and discovered she was 6th and could get an xbox!
she rang her entire family (30+ people), to get someone to pop over and look after her severely disabled daughter so she could hold her place in the queue, her brother rang all his mates to get someone to stay there, in the end she got a family member to tend to her daughter once the carer had left
My brother and I, we rang round before we went there, and dropped everything to travel 14 miles (no lunch, etc, etc), got there at 5.20
now, if everyone here made such efforts then we'd all have an xbox wouln't we?
EDIT, Ok, slighly badly worded,
now, if everyone here made such efforts then more of us would have an xbox wouln't we?, if you look at the stats, MOST of us would have had an xbox if those that use this forum and wanted an xbox had pre-ordered or queued
if i'd have not gotten one in the end?, then i'd have slapped myself for not getting out even earler and waiting, or for not putting down for a pre-order even earliermoney saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

Thats a stupid thing to say.
effort doesnt create additional xboxes. Doesnt matter how much effort people put in, there still are not enough to go around especially as the majority of them have been bought just to sell at a higher price to those mums and dads who had no chance of getting one.DONE: Great North Run 09! We aren't in a hurry to buy one - my lucky hubby has been playing on the xboxes at work for the last couple of weeks, so whilst he can get his 'fix' at work there's no need to have one at home!0
