xbox 360 @ Asda [CLOSED]

I was really worried that i would not be able to get one of these systems but as luck would have it i ended up with 2. I walked into HMV on wednesday just gone, walked upto the counter with out queing and i ordered 2, i picked them both up on friday. It just goes to show that you need to be in the right place at the right time.

Same here, my backup order came through too. Tried flogging it on ebay, but had a scammer win...

I pre-ordered mine from Asda on the 7th October (the full loaded pack) - and I had an e-mail about two weeks ago to tell me:

"Please be advised that we have just received an indicative, although still unconfirmed, initial allocation of the console.

I regret that if this allocation is not increased, which is extremely unlikely, we will not be able to fulfil your order in time for Christmas delivery".

I have contacted them several times since and been told that my pre-order still stands but they do not think they will be having enough stock in to furnish all their orders - even though they had some on sale in their stores they said

"I regret that each part of the business receive their own allocation well in advance. It is not possible to transfer between the 2"

Just want to point out, that other retailers are having difficulty receiving adequate stock levels to supply all their customers who have pre-ordered.

Blimey, do all kids get £200+ presents as a matter of course these days? If they don't get one for christmas they'll have to wait for their birthday when hopefully the price will have dropped £100 and the early bugs ironed out.

i really dont understand why people on this site get angry with other people for buying an xbox (or 2) good luck to them.

i watched this forum on release day and i got 2 from comet using the link supplied by a member of this forum for the benefit of ALL members of this forum.
if u happened to still be in bed / working/ queing then it is not really anyone else's problem is it.

one chap on here bought a few

by the way i had put my name and pre regged for two and was told i would not be getting one b4 xmas for my son or my nephew so i have solved it now thanks to this brilliant forum and an eagle eyed member

Ax ASDA are not likely to be getting any more in the near future, that in the interests of MSE this thread should be CLOSED. IMHO
