Signing Up To O2

I have canceled Virgin and I'm due to get reconnected to BT on the 20th. When should I sign up to O2 to ensure I have internet access on the 20th? How long does it take for O2 to sort everything out from when you join them?

Daughter ordered o2 BB on Monday and she is being connected today. She did not have a MAC. Excellent CS, she was informed of the progress by regular txts and emails.0

I don't think that you will be able to have internet access on the 20th because you can only apply to O2 when you have a working line and number. Even then it can take a few days before your line shows up on the database that they use. Even if BT have given you a number in advance, it could change and your active line still need to show on the database.
So I'll have to wait till the 20th?
How long will it take after that? :huh:0 -
