About a month, as far as I can recall.0

No I'm not. Ive transferred many Cash ISAs with many different institutions and the average is a month.Wow!!!! You are joking.
If you think a month is bad, you should read through posts about Barclays. Lloyds TSB, Nationwide, etc., many of whom have taken several months to sort out transfers - in my own case, I am still awaiting a transfer to LTSB which was initiated early in March 2008.It was matter of days the last time I transferred an ISA.

Isn't it the bank taking the money, rather then the one losing the money, that causes it to take so long? They organise it, don't they?

That has certainly been the case in the two Cash ISA transfers of mine which have not gone smoothly over the years.LucyTheDwarf wrote: »Isn't it the bank taking the money, rather then the one losing the money, that causes it to take so long? They organise it, don't they?
'Organise' is a debatable term as far as those two ISA providers are concerned - in the case of LTSB, I have organised the transfer my current account & other funds held with them to institutions which are efficient, including Icesave.0 -

I have never managed to transfer an ISA in less than 30 days. In fact my last transfer from good old B@B last year took over 45 days.
All your posts to date seem to be aimed at running Icesave down. Do you have an axe to grind ?"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Almost. Fill in the downloaded form and go to the bank. They will then get you to fill in even more forms to
1) Open an ISA (the form you take in is just to transfer money in)
2) Open another account (a bit pointless but it's in the T&C)0 -
Of jp01s 11 posts all have been negative comments about Icesave, read into that what you will;)I have never managed to transfer an ISA in less than 30 days. In fact my last transfer from good old B@B last year took over 45 days.
