New business-Need property

Hello.

Hope I am posting in the right place

After much research of city based property to rent for a party including sleeping arrangments ...me and my friend want to start a business whereby we can provide a luxury house for groups of people to get together for a night out and sleep at

Of course the first hurdle is to obtain a property that is big enough and that can be refurbished, we have no money at present and need to save big time...any pointers/help?

Does anyone know here the hurdles/problems of renting out luxury self catering accomodation lie (i.e licences/regualtions)?
Any help would be muich appreaciated:o

Wow no idea about the practicalities - but this is a great idea - it would have to be cheaper per person than the local travelodge...

There's a few YHAs and other places that do this kind of thing in the countryside, so maybe its worth getting advice from one of these in terms of practicalities.

You are seriously going to have organised orgies, or is my imagination running riot here?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I have stayed in Manchester with similar companies. One such room was in The Edge. I parked my car inbetween a Lamboughini and a Bentley. :D

But I digress - What if no one wants to stay? In a credit crunch economy when people have less and less disposable income this could impact upon someone opting for a luxury apartment for one night. Innevitably there will only be great interest on a Friday or Saturday night and what if you go 3 or 4 weeks without a booking?

But hey, I'm eternally pessimistic - good luck :)

For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!

Yeah I have thought of that but we have more ideas related to it, just dont want to share our money making idea!
We would make it so that it was more affordable than hotel rooms on its level, also good for people that dont want everyone spread out in different hotel rooms, im thinking Big bro type living, lol!Being self catering this would help save cost on food etc

Fair enough, I was thinking at first this has been done before so was wondering where your "unique" bit would be, which is obviously the secret :p

It is much cheaper than a hotel room if enough share. We had 4 in a studio apartment :D Very cosy. No orgy. Unfortunately :cheesy:

Just wondering whether I would need to go for buy to let mortgage, or buy the property to do up how we wanted and then decide to let, if it doent work out at least theres a house there in the end, to sell or live in. Lol

Also does anyone know what help there is to female women in business. Or whether someone would be able to help out with a deposit? Looking at house around £200,000 mark.. in current financial climate doesnt that need a £40,000 deposit :(
