Small bayonet energy saving lightbulbs?

Yes, I hope so, and I use them widely for the same reason (as well as concern for the environment). I do find, though, that their reliability can be very variable - "up to 15 times longer" is a get-out!

Another tip: you can take them to Ikea for recycling. Don't make a special trip; just save them until you're going anyway.

My kitchen rose light uses hard to find lamps, so WL Hedley my local electrical wholesaler or CEF City electrical factors came up with what I needed from their trade counter. They did it as cash sale.
took a sample lamp (bulb) when I was in town. Picked them up when next there. Not a special journey to ikea.

Oh local BQ had them, but tooo much. I waited for wholesaler and made a saving equivalent to 3 for 2 at BQ prices.
As I needed 3 bulbs happy :-)
