I have never seen ones any cheaper than in Ikea, and the same goes for 12V capsule lamps (5W, 10W and 20W).Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

Hi
I have a load of Freebies off my parents who ordered a cheap box-full of various energy saving bulbs on offer in the Daily Mail (I think, could be the Express) - we have been able to kit most of the house lighting out in these. However, some of our light fittings have small screw fittings... I have searched and searched and I can only find 40W equivalent energy saving bulbs. I want 60W equivalent bulbs, so 11W - 15W energy saving bulbs with the small screw fitting is what is needed - I am beginning to think they do not exist.
Cheers

Hi
The http://www.yourwelcome.co.uk/acatalog/Low_Energy.html link has sorted me out - they do a pack of 8 SES (Small Eddison Screw)11W - 60W equivalent bulbs for £25 delivered. I think that is good, just over £3 per bulb.
THANKYOU :money:0 -
Hi
Here is a quote that might be of interest;
"With the latest technology energy saving light bulbs, you get virtually the same light output as from an ordinary light bulb, for just 20% of the electricity consumption. What's more, they last up to 15 times longer."
By buying an energy efficient light bulb rather than the other alternatives you can cut energy wastage by over 75 per cent. That's around £7 a year on the average energy bill or £65 over the bulb's lifetime.
So, on average my 8 bulbs I have just purchased will save me
8 x £7 = £49
over the next 12 months, so they will have paid for themselves double.0
