or plain cake with lemon squeezed on the top with suger , lemon drizzel i think.
sorry brain has gone a bit dead.
I thought of that. However knowing me, I will probably eat 95% of it myself, which wont help when I am meant to be cutting back on the calories. Don't tempt me...0 -

I have made lemonade this way.....
squeeze the juice from 4 lemons, cut up the skims into quarters.
Put juice and skins in a bucket with a lid and add 2lbs of sugar, and a 50g tub of citric acid, available from anywhere they sell wine making equipment, I get mine from Wilkinsons.
Boil 2 pints of water allow to cool a little and pour over the lemons etc and stir well until the sugar has dissolved, the add another 4 pints of cold water, stir again...... put a lid on the bucket and leave for two days stiring occasionally, strain through a sieve to remove the lemon skins, bottle in bottles with screw caps and keep in a cool place........ use diluted with sparkling mineral water and ice cubes.....

Now the sunnier days are with us thought I'd share my recipe for lemonade with you:
8 lemons
8oz sugar
4pt boiling water
handful of lemon balm [optional]
Slice lemons and put in a bowl with the sugar. Add the boiling water and lemon balm and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Leave to cool. Strain and chill. I made the remainder of it into lollies with my new lolly mould [simple things please simple minds!]

Last night I made a lemon and lime drink.
I sliced up one lemon and 1 lime and placed in 1 pint of water,
added 6 tablespoons of fruit sugar (low GI)
then boiled.
I bottled it in a glass bottle.
Had some this morning and its LOVELY !" (infact really lovely) !!!0 -
I bought some unwaxed lemons at the weekend and am going to make some traditional lemonade. My recipe book has you thinly peeling the rind and putting it in the drink but I just thought i'd check if this is what you all do because the book is 1930's and before mass use of pesticides. I have scrubbed the lemons already - do you think using the peel is ok?0

Forgot to add - does anyone have a tried and tested recipe to share?0

someone will be along shortly with a proper recipe ,
i peel the rind from 3 lemons put the rind some sugar and about a pint of water in a saucepan, bring to a simmer ,stir till sugar is dissolved, leave to infuse, when cool add juice of the three lemons and top up with cold water to taste or soda water if you want it fizzy ...
best i can do as i am rubbish with measurements...i just throw stuff in till it tastes right...lol0 -
