Cat - Christmas.. what's that?! :D Actually I have started thinking about it a bit earlier this year - last year I managed to spend just over £100 on everything (train fare home, pressies, work night out), thanks to lots of vouchers from surveys etc, so this year I'm on a mission to beat that!

RS - Last year I managed not to put any of christmas onto the visa card, this year I'd set a budget and have spent from that. It's amazing really, five years ago I probably spent £550 on Christmas, three years ago it was £700 (but that included my flight to Spain). I'm aiming to have money left over from my budget (£400) and I'll spend the rest on a maternity wardrobe. And maybe another ciccia handbag cos they is just so pretty!

To be honest, I have little spending splurges once a year and Wayne has never dared criticise cos I will throw in his face the £3.5K visa debt on daily crap, the £7K he frittered away from the sale of his old house and the £4K he borrowed from his aunt and can't explain where it was spent apart from 'on living'

So if i go online and spent maybe £400-£500 once a year (and from MY money) he can't really complain at all.

Off to do some serious dusting (and will open the windows to let some fresh air into the house!

  • You sure Jinky?

It's brand new and free to a good home - I won a subscription to Eve in a competition on Mumsnet.com, but Eve is going out of print - so they've sent me that bag instead. I do like it but I won't use it, I have 2 lovely leather bags that were gifts so I have to use a lot! And a big slouchy one when I have more to carry. As well as a poncey Skip Hop changing bag for when out with the baby - so really no use at all for it.

    Christmas present for anyone?

I am going spare here, DS is a ball of energy today, might go out soon, but where. Argh. Too wet for the park, not sure where would be suitable for lunch - and not so brave on my own - maybe a drive to get him to have a nap. Not very MSE is it!

I received a £10 voucher for Forzieri a couple of weeks ago. And following the bag discussion at the beginning of the week I had a browse.......

 I think I'm missing something here.

Could anyone use the voucher? I sort of liked some Alessi ice cream spoons.....but after delivery etc they were still £11, so not really money saving as I could save £11 by not buying anything. :o

I think I'm probably just sad & middle aged.
  • I'm not a bag kind of person but that is really nice.
