2 main priorities are:-
1) Got to be good at indoor pics
2) Fast shutter lag for capturing childrens smiles (ours dont smile for too long)
Everytime I post on a different forum I get a different suggestion....
good greef!0 -
This one looks like a bargain, but reviews are mixed, especially on the crucial shutter lag issue.intel wrote:I bought this one a week ago, It was £229.99 but its now out of date

Though it may be a bit battery-hungry, it uses ordinary batteries so it's relatively inexpensive to stock up on rechargeables.
I use a Fuji Finepix F610, and I've been very pleased with the results. The shutter lag on mine is very acceptable for a digtal camera - always under a second, and if pre-focussed (usually done using the focus lock by partially depressing the shutter button in preparation to take the picture) it's almost as fast as a film camera. It's good for spontaneous pictures of kids, and can produce professional quality results (seriously, when I get them printed at Jessops, even at large sizes, most people can't tell my digital pics from photos taken with my film SLR, and I'd say it even surpasses some of the cheaper types of film).
When you say you need it to be good for indoor photos, are you talking flash, available light, or both? My F610 gives good results with standard auto flash, great results with slow-sync flash which turns out nicely balanced with window light (when available), but usually merely tolerable results when using available light only.0 -

Thats not even a consideration for a point and shoot camera especially when originally priced at £229.99 down to £89.99 I mean im no David Bailey nor are a lot of people.
And according to this site its a good buy http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/fuji_e510.html and 5megapixel its a steal.0 -
