He goes he wants £75 refund first and then he will send the item and then i have to pay him another £75??
Did he pay £150 for the DVD or does that include compensation or something? If he paid £150 then I cannot imagine what on earth it might be.

I wouldn't trust him to be honest then. Whats to stop him taking the first £75 then never returning the DVD (or sending the other one) and then keeping yours plus £75 of your moneyTitch

does ebay have any rules to refunds and how they must work?
Say if i refund him but he still complains or if he sends me the dvds fooked up. Or if he dont send it?
Does ebay have any rules that he must pay the postage costs and i must recieve the item first?Charles J0 -
When I have refunded I have always asked for the item to be returned first and no buyer has ever refused to do it. I personally wouldn't refund without receiving the goods to check first. I mean if you bought something from amazon would you expect them to refund you without sending it back first? I think not.0

Why are you considering refunding this guy. Are you admitting you have been in the wrong and misrepresented the item?
If you are in the right he can do nothing, without getting himself in trouble. If you are in the wrong stop trying to weasel out. Get the goods back and pay the guy.
You haven't even been clear as to what the buyers problem is. Genuine DVDs will play on any player set for that region. If none of the disks will play, either his machine does not support the region or the disks are not genuine.

Ebay rules don't really come into it. It's more of a consumer law issue. If you are a private seller the item only has to be as described in the auction listing.
If you are a business it also has to be of good quality and last a reasonable amount of time.
It's worth bearing in mind that when you buy from a private individual on Ebay you have very little consumer protection.0
