shortage or recall of hipp organic baby milk?

heya.

I'm just wondering if anyone has heard anything of any problems with running out of Hipp Organic baby milk recently.

2 days ago I was in a morrisons and thought to get some baby milk while there, but the hipp aisles were empty. Thought nothing of it as was in a rush. Today however I've just been to a tesco some 20miles away, in Newton Aycliffe, as my daughters milk runs out tomorrow, and they are also empty too with temporarily out of stock notices. They did have a small amount of premade stuff however, of the bottle type not the carton.

Anywhere else had any problems with no Hipp formula in stock? I'm going to have to try our town shortly to see if these have any too. I'm really hoping they haven't decided to pull a Heinz Farleys trick on us and pull it off without notice to screw us over, as really dont fancy changing the milk yet again

nothing on th Hipp website, still seems to say everything is great. May just have had a delivery problem.

Probably all deliveries in that area are made by one large artic - if for whatever reason that hasn't run then deliveries for the whole area will be delayed.
I would ask the store to see if they can tell you when they are due more in

hmmmm I hope so.

However, just had a drive around my hometown Hartlepool.

First checked the local Netto but they dont sell Hipp anyway it seems.

Then tried Asda and Morrisons and they're both out of stock. Asked someone from one of the aisles at Asda who called on tannoy for someone from baby section to turn up but waiting 10mins and noone turned up so just went off.

In the end had to buy a tub of Cow And Gate so my baby has something to feed on. Really dont like swapping between milks unless can help it

So thats Bishop Auckland, Hartlepool, Shildon, and Newton Aycliffe all missing the stuff so covering a fair radius. I'm going to try Durham tesco tomorrow during work to see if they have any to stock up on, then can hopefully just mix in the odd feed here and there of cow and gate to spread it out a bit so no big change to the system if hopping back n forth

update - non in Tesco Extra in Durham either. Asked guy who worked in the aisle who knew nothing about it but thought it could perhaps be a problem with deliveries like you suggested. Poor babes having to drink the cow & gate in meantime, hopefully not too long

I live in kent and the last two Satyrdays when i've been shopping the shelves were empty of Hipp Organic Milk too.

Boots sell it though - might have some luck there????

The reason i think there's not much available is because perhaps more people have switched to using it as it is the cheapest baby milk now. I used to buy Farley's until they changed it to Nurture and whacked the price up from £5 to £8!!!
Does anyone else think this might be the reason too?
