I would love to see itemised, weekly shopping list for a family like mine:

    1 adult (me)
1 "child" (18 yo, still at college)
    1 large dog (german shepherd)
    1 cat

... even with weekly meal planner to make it more believable and practical/possible.

One that can manage on say 40 per week with all groceries, toiletries, pet food, cat litter etc etc.

Anyone up for a challenge - I just can not honestly see how this is possible...

Admire people who can manage that.

    About £30 a week

But 1/3 of that is cat food and also includes toiletries.

Food wise, I tend to eat Tesco value in the main. I can't even afford to heat my home, so have to live very basic.

I'm on benefits due to disability but don't qualify for DLA so live on a basic element.

I wish we didn't have to eat :rotfl:
