We spend about £50 a week for the 2 of us (but never buy alcohol which I know bumps up a lot of peoples spend
)
Then we do spend about £10-15 on a takeaway every friday too which is a lot compared to our overall food spend but is our treat0 -
Its just me but I spend £40 to £50 every fortnight0

I typically spend between 10 and 20 quid each week (in Waitrose, FWIW) living on my own.0

Thanks everyone x Okay - Its official - I spend way too much on my shopping! ha ha... Right I am going to be very good for the rest of the month.
Great tips - God I think you would all die if you saw how much we spend on stuff.
I am going to try and cut down my shopping and "lovelypinkandsparklythings" spends.:heart2:Mum to my little Daisy 3 and Archie 1.:heart2:0 -
We are a household of 2 adults and 2 children (4 and 2yrs). We have a strict budget of £40 per week and when it's gone it's gone! We buy complete essentials first and work up. We do tend to buy a lot of value food now though - it does the same job! x0

Normally between £50 - £60 a week. Some weeks needing more household items than others etc, so its not all purely on food. Thats for 2 adults, 2 cats and 1 dog. OH is the most fussiest eater in the world and bascially lives on meat (thats why ours is so high) and has done since he was 5 and he's 25 now (im not joking, he doesn't eat any veg, fruit, rice, pasta, noodles, cereal, milk or bead) his night time meal always contains some meat and then potato of some kind and thats it.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160

Gosh my food shopping sounds really expensive now! We spend from £60-£80 a week for just 2 adults and 2 guinea pigs (But they don't eat that much!) However I don't like to scrimp on the food budget, always get organic fruit and veg and usually find supermarket brands aren't as good as the leading brand.
We used to manage on £30-£40 but this was when our wages were lower so couldn't afford everything.0 -
£60 per week for 4 adults, 1 rabbit and 7 guinea pigsI am a coffee bean0

£45 a week for food and drinks,toiletries,cleaning stuff,soap powder etc,dog food too and any take aways we buy.If we do get a take away its usually because of bad organisation on my part and we have to eat really really cheaply for a week to make up for it.
Our household is made up of 3 adults(DS is 17),1 child and 2 big dogs(the dogs weigh 40 & 46 kg so they eat lots).
We sometimes spend a tiny bit less and sometimes a bit over but an average of £45.
I have to add that before I found this fabulous web site and started acting on the money saving advice my grocery spend was easily over £100 a week."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0
