Nationwide : Sign On problems

I've been experiencing intermitent and erratic Sign On problems for the past 5 days or so. The problems are threefold:
1 . Sign on fails with a message saying the details entered were incorrect;
2 . Sign on fails with a site not accessible page;
3 . Sign on fails with a message saying that "a problem has occured when trying to process your request.
Interestingly, when a sign on proceeds, the activity log shows previous sign ons at times coincident with what appeared at the time to be failed attempts.
Nationwide customer service acknowledged the issue today @ ~ 14:50, but still appear to have done nothing about it, or spread the details to other customer service staff. The site status report also shows no issues.
Anybody else experiencing problems?

I've been logging on each morning and have had no problems.0

I have been in at least once a day for the last 5 days or so. No problems whatsoever.0

No problems here either.0

If I knew how, I'd upload images of the few account "Activity Logs" I have managed to obtain during my occasional successes of signing in, along with time stamped failures. The failure times are exactly the same as supposedly successful "sign on" times as posted in the log.
C'mon MSE Nationwide account holders: give me a little back up on this. Something is not right. I personally discovered a glitch in their e-bond registration system a year ago, and, after some resistance, finally received a letter from Nationwide acknowledging the problem and thanking me for bringing it to their attention (believe it or not the system rejected any application made by the same account holder at the same second of any hour or minute of the day). Not only has this mad applications less hassle, it also had Nationwide site developers revisit their flawed code, likely throwing up other issues that may well prove critical in times of site stress.
Problems always occur when you least want them to, so check the site out now, whilst you are relaxed about it.0 -
Likewise, checking every morning, no problems.
Just tried again now, as you suggested, straight in again.0 -

It is amazing when you report a real problem with a website how many people will say that it is working ok or it is meant to do that.
My experience was on a major building society website where an important feature did not work at all. It was reported more than once and every time the customer service dept. told me it was working correctly when it wasn't. It turns out that they accessed the site via their intranet (internal network) not via the internet and a domain name was being resolved differently depending on when it was accessed from. Only when a senior manager tried it after work from their home did they believe me. It must have been only tested from inside the organisation.
Concerning Nationwide, I have noticed some strange things happening concerning internet banking logons and PIN number invalid on a FlexAccount debit card where we can no longer login at all and the card is marked as lost or stolen when it shouldn't have been. After a new card was issued the mini statement only showed the last two transactions as if the account had never been used before those transactions. This happened just after a new card to support the Nationwide card reader was issued and of course if the old card, which was cut up, was still seen as valid in their computer system until its expiry in 2010 that could be the reason. Almost impossible to prove though.0 -

I do get the occasional 'phantom' sign on message when I know I have entered correct details. It is also annoying (if it should happen to you) that after three (genuinely) wrong attempts the message to 'try again' keeps appearing rather than a fresh screen prompt telling you you have been locked out and should contact them. And the time it takes for NW to reset your details seems too long (had no online experience for two weeks once!).....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
Had similar problems a couple of weeks but was told there was nothing wrong with the site. Not had any problems logging in today though.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

Used the site several times over last few days, checking accounts and making payments. No problems for me.0
