My brother took the day off as he was supposed to be getting a cupboard delivered today from 12 to 6 so he took the day off and waited in all day
Nothing he had rang about 2 and was told it was on the van
Nothing was delivered
My mam started to call customer service at 6pm he doesnt have a land line and wanted to leave his mobile free in case they called
45 minutes later she is on hold and is just about to give up

I was having something delivered last week, the time slot available was between 7am and 1pm. I arranged to have someone take my son to school and waited. Nothing came so at 12.30 I called to check and the lady I spoke to said that sometimes they may slightly overrun on times but it would be with me very shortly and when I explained I had to get my son from school at 3.30pm she said it should be here well before then.
Still nothing at 2.15pm so I called again and was told it was definitely on the way, and had been loaded onto the van at 8.35am - which makes a mockery of the possible 7am delivery time - but that 7am to 1pm is just a guideline and it can be anything between 7am and 6pm. I then hurriedly had to arrange for someone to collect my son.
My delivery arrived at 4.10pm.0 -
They are hopeless
She was on the phone for over an hour 45 minutes on hold then she asked to speak to someone about her order that hadnt come so was put on hold after she had explained how long she had been on hold
She then asked to cancel the order this was done and was informed the money woud be put back on card
She then asked to complain about the length of time she had been on hold
She was put on hold again asked for the womens name she was speaking to couldnt get her full name and got told to write in to customer services
They tried to deliver the stuff this morning and the delivery guy was not happy with my brother when he explained he wouldnt take delivery of it as he had cancelled the order
Still no explantion of why it didnt come yesterday :mad:Needing to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down. Lots more to go to get into my size 6 jeans0 -
Argos are usually reliable and ring you an hour before the delivery.
I guess it depends on the delivery guys?Thomson 757 Man0 -
I know they deliver a lot so they can make mistakes
They did it to a friend a few weeks ago when they had it booked for a day of the week and then Argos rang and said they couldnt deliver it on that day and re booked for later in the week and then tried and deliver on the day that they had cancelled it
Maybe it is just the one in our areaNeeding to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down. Lots more to go to get into my size 6 jeans0 -
I used them last month and no problem. My son wanted bedroom furniture from Argos, but I found the exact same stuff on Homebase for £70 cheaper. I didn't know Argos and Homebase are the same company - it was Argos that delivered it.0

ooh thanks I will check homebase to see if it cheaper and if it was maybe try and talk him into giving them a chance
Im thinking that it might just be a few cases of mistakes and they might be okay most of the time
I have got something delivered from them before and it came okayNeeding to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down. Lots more to go to get into my size 6 jeans0 -

Oh I place orders, they take my money and then fail to deliver or contact me....they don't refund me until I call and demand to be refunded...If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!0
