Leaving supanet?

Has anyone had recent experience of leaving Supanet? We have our phone with them as well and pay line rental to them. Searches seem to suggest they used to be terrible, cancelling all access and witholding MAC codes, etc, leaving you high and dry. I was wondering if they have improved with the new legislation? Any advice welcome!
