You can do this using Tools - Options - General - Use Current Pages..., as one poster said. But don't you think that's a bit clunky for Firefox? If you add or remove a tab you have to click through those steps again to update your 'home pages'.BarGin wrote:Just been trying this Firefox with the noia theme looks really cool compared to IE.
One thing I'm sure you must be able to do which I can't figure out is to have the program launch with several tabs loading together - like having several home pages.
Cany anyone point me in the right direction please?
A far, far better alternative is a Firefox extension called Session Saver. It remembers all your current tabs and restores them when you restart Firefox. You can also save your current tabs as a named session and restore them when required. It even recovers from FF crashes. Download and install the latest version by clicking Installer in the first post of this thread. Restart Firefox to complete the installation, then click Tools - SessionSaver - Preferences and tick the one box. Close down Firefox, restart et voila! your tabs are restored.0 -

Snap - me too - where is that man? When last heard of, he had "I'm Off" on his postings.0 -
This is much better, it doesn't seem to hold onto memory like previous versions.

P.S some great skins as well, now using Pimpzilla as its right up my daughters street.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
I'm a big fan of Firefox. I've been using it since it first came out and I've never come accross this sort of problem before. A quick scan of my system found the installer for my previous version (luckily enough). I've had to go back to this (and all is fine now).
I'm perhaps a little too optimistic when I say this but look at it this way, it will you the opportunity to look for a firefox support network so if you do have another problem it will be alot easier dealt with.
The best mozilla forum for help I know of is https://www.mozillazine.org which no doubt you'll already have heard of but just trying to make the point that it's worth trying to sort this problem out as it will make sorting future problems out alot easier.0 -

Cheers for the suggestion, but the first place I hit for help with this problem was the mozillazine forums (it was here I also saw other bugs reported). I'm not sure what you mean by making it easier to sort out future problems. Sometimes (not always) if there is a bug with a program, there is not a lot that can be done except to wait till the developers sort out the bug.
I'm not too concerned at waiting a bit longer to upgrade. I've changed the configuration of my Firefox enough to know that is pretty much secure, and between that and Opera (and very rarely IE) I don't have any problems surfing at all.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
