Pity they are not signing up at the moment. Have had personal history of a lot of issues with Royal Mail in this area and in an area I post to.I think these areas NEED testing badly.
on a sidenote I notice after a few days of our post arriving at 11 instead of 1pm. Today it is now 4.25 and we have had no postal delivery in this building at all.( to those saying we could just have no post, we get post every day they are delivering of some kind)What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
Hi all.
I just a quick question, sorry if it seems a bit simple though. A short while ago i emailed the postal surveys requesting to be added to the list as advised through here. They responded telling me to leave it a while ago, then go to their site
https://rmselfrecruit.research-int.com/Questionnaire/qstIntroductionPrivate.aspx
and enter in a code when prompted. I don't get any kind of box to put in a code, am i looking in the wrong place or should i leave it a bit longer?0 -

the plot thickensRoyal Mail bosses in Glasgow have launched an investigation following allegations of mail tampering.
A complaint has been made to mail regulator Postcomm, alerting it to possible interference with post.
It is claimed that the tampering was part of an attempt by Royal Mail staff to distort performance targets.

The allegations centre on a "mystery shopper" scheme run by an independent company, Research International UK, to monitor mail posted to certain addresses.
It is claimed that Royal Mail staff found out about the secret scheme, and tampered with mail to learn the addresses of those involved so they could provide an improved service and artificially boost performance ratings for those addresses.
Royal Mail refused to comment on the allegations, but said in a statement: "Royal Mail is investigating allegations concerning its mail operations in the Glasgow area.
"The allegations, received via Postcomm, relate to the possibility of interference in the measurement of Royal Mail's quality of service performance in this area.
"Royal Mail commenced an immediate independent investigation in relation to the Glasgow area upon receipt of these allegations.
"As part of this investigation, Royal Mail is conducting interviews at local level to assess whether any of the allegations are accurate. Royal Mail is liaising closely with Postcomm to resolve this matter as soon as possible."
It is understood the complaints involve two postcode areas, but Royal Mail was unable to confirm this.
Interfering with mail is a criminal offence that can lead to a fine or up to two years in prison.
Strathclyde Police said the matter was being investigated by Royal Mail and the police would only become involved if that investigation suggested criminal activity.
A spokesperson for Consumer Focus Scotland, which represents users of the postal service, said: "Such claims, if found to be true, would be extremely worrying and would damage the generally high level of trust that consumers have in the postal service."
and this from a postie 'source'4 CARS AND 15 I.B SWOOPED ON GLASGOW MAIL CENTRE ON TUES . CONFISCATED BLACKBERRYS AND LAPTOPS FROM M/C MANAGER AND QUALITY ASSURANCE STAFF ALSO HEARD THAT ALL SECTOR MANAGERS HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED BAR 2 OF THEM
however given nobody was sacked for this................FIVE managers at Royal Mail have faced disciplinary action following an internal inquiry into the discovery of tens of thousands of undelivered letters found dumped inside a lorry trailer.
Bundles of post were found in the back of an articulated trailer parked in the yard of the Edinburgh Mail Centre in Sighthill in September.
The figure is believed to be around 20,000 although Royal Mail bosses have been unable to comment on the number.
Speculation centred on whether the mail had been stashed away to make it easier to hit delivery targets which result in bonus payments being made.
Five managers at the depot have been investigated by Royal Mail chiefs over eight months and faced reprimands over the affair.
Sources say that two of the managers have been dealt with and kept their jobs, while two more are appealing against the inquiry's findings and one case remains outstanding to be decided next week.
Royal Mail bosses today declined to comment, saying it was "an internal matter" which was being "dealt with". They would not comment on the nature of the allegations against the managers.
But sources at the mail centre claim the inquiry's findings have been "swept under the carpet", with mail chiefs reluctant to sack any of the managers "in case the truth came out".
One source said: "Everyone was sworn to secrecy over this under threat of disciplinary action. The bosses didn't want the public to know about it. They would rather it all just went away."
Another source said: "If a postman had been hoarding letters and failing to deliver them then they would be dismissed, as has happened in the past, and rightly so. They would've also faced criminal charges in the courts. No-one will lose their jobs over this. There's a lot of pressure on the managers to meet delivery targets within the Royal Mail. That's what their bosses are interested in."
It is understood that independent auditors visited the centre in the east of Edinburgh last year to examine their books and discovered tens of thousands of letters had been undelivered.
Postal workers claimed that computers were taken away from the facility for closer inspection.
A spokesman for the Communication Workers Union (CWU) said: "We are aware that a matter was being dealt with internally."
A spokesman for Consumer Focus Scotland said that "issues like this are damaging" for Royal Mail.
He added: "While we can't comment on decisions about staff, it's important for Royal Mail's image and reputation that the same high standards are expected of every member of staff whatever their role in getting the post to people's homes and offices."
Last May, it was reported that nearly a fifth of Edinburgh and the Lothians' first class mail was not delivered on time last year.
Just 83.2 per cent of first class post was delivered the next working day in the EH postcode area during 2007/08 – with last summer's strike action being blamed for the drop from 93.8 per cent in 2006/07.0 -
I had an e-mail too inviting me back to their panel in my postcode area,I have sent my details back to them as no postcode etc was mentioned.

Hi, I've been invited back too - and my email also asked for my correct details as the address wasn't correct. I've just thought though, that's a bit weird considering they say more people needed in my area. Do you think lack of address in email is a security measure, or is it dodgy!?!
Email came from Research International [surveycontact@research-int.org]
Does that sound legitimate to any of you that are still current members?
TIA:heart: I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?0 -
