Royal Mail Surveys

NEWS: Research International is currently helping to investigate allegations regarding Royal Mail operations. The allegations, received via Postcomm, relate to the possibility of interference in the measurement of Royal Mail's quality of service performance.
The integrity of the quality of service measurement and the resultant data is something that Research International takes very seriously and we are working with Postcomm and Royal Mail to investigate this matter.2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89

We can't, of course. however, of all the survey related mail we get, the weekly pack items is the only one that would have any content of value to the scammer and though this is the most like normal mail (ie no test initals and no tell tale SMART that could be felt through the envelope) it does have a Kantor return address in plain view making them easy to target as they travelled through the system so your other mail could be left alone. I'll admit that I am crediting the scam with a degree of sophistication and accurate targetting that may well be lacking.
The post still runs as an honour system just as it always has (can anyone still remember when an unsealed envelope cost less to post than a sealed one?) I believe the vast majority of PO staff are honest and honourable, unfortunately not all are. Let's hope that the inquiry manages to identify some of the dishonest and dishonourable ones.
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -

I do wonder why RI send the list of post boxes every time they send us the weekly posting packs. I know which my boxes are without constant reminding and it would always be possible to find out from the website any way if I had a serious senior moment.
Then again, though we can list (is it?) up to ten post boxes, it doesn't mean we use all of them. I use two or three regularly, so if most people used three (one post office and a couple of regular boxes say) but listed ten, they would be clearing ten boxes when only three are being used - and for only a total of, say, a maximum 5 items a week.0 -

sometimes 2.30 or later for those of us on large duties
seems people moan when posties finish early and moan when they work all day0 -
Just caught up with all this after reading on their (RI) home page that they are helping with the scam....
Shocking stuff.... Hope we don't get culled and replaced. :eek:The art is not in making money, but in keeping it!!!0 -
If they find any culprits they might cull the ones in that area
