sammy - sounds like you have made up your mind babes.... before you go all in and hand in your notice, what about a part time trial period?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0

I've got boxes of Hot Diamonds and other jewllery stuff that my exOH gave me (he worked on the basis of gifts over quality time - wonder where that relationship went wrong...:p ) I still love the stuff aesthetically (Gemmzie that is a gorgeous set) but can't even consider wearing it because of the association with him... I really should sell the bloody stuff or get it cleaned and give it away as Xmas presents (I am a packaging hoarder...)
Luc you really should sell it, just think you could get enough to pay for your part of the pushchair for the beanI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

You did consider quitting a few weeks ago if I remember correctly and decided against. What brought on the change of heart? What will it mean for exams? Presumably you are self funded or will you need to pay the firm back.
Hope it works out for you whatever happens :grouphug:
But you're a day late for big news day - that was yesterday:p
I know, I thought I would just throw a little news in now and hope it would just fly under the radar:o . I am self funded apart from work gives me one day per week off study leave and the another couple of days per exam. I go to revision courses nearer the exam date at weekends which means working sometimes fourteen days and more in a row with no time off...
The change of heart has been brought on by me being poorly over the last couple of days and stressing myself to death over the fact that I have got work to finish....I know I shouldn't stress but I do and I am getting worse. I was stressed by the time i went on holiday, the holiday was busy and I came back still feeling stressed and then you have to catch up with washing and ironing and i could go on and on and on...I have no family near me just a fabulous DD who TBH is like a second mother to DD3 and its not fair (although she loves it).Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

explain to employer how you feel, and ask them to let you go part time... you can make up your income in other ways if you needed to...
then give it a trial period. if they won't let you cut back, then you know you are doing the right thing....
3 years experience is what you need, but wouldn't part time still count as 3 years if you found something else soon enough....
with your fabby skills i know you would easily manage to get something on your terms....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Hi Maz
I would do that but its the three month notice period that I worry about, I have put off making a decision for months. I think they may have to let me work part time or I am in danger of cracking up! BUT they are not the best of employers they have no children and have no concept of what it must be like for me...the other girls I work with do and they are really good, they took all my work off me yesterday but I feel so guilty as I know they got a rough time from the boss about it..
Now I am so stressed about getting my work done I am panicking and getting my debits and credits wrong:rotfl:Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Sammy - look at their work/life balance policies, I'm pretty sure there are some rules these days about being able to go part time/jobshare but that might just be NHS/local government.

I could probably pay for whole pram with it all:o
To be honest I can't bear to even pull the stuff out to clean and get it appraised, it just reminds me how miserable he made me and he was my best friend for 14 years before we got together romantically. It was all a big old mistake partly due being low when my Mum & Dad were separating at the time...
I'm sure I'll get over it and flog it off eventually:o26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073
