Refund from water company

in Water bills
Hi live in one of the area that was recently affected by welsh water telling us we needed to boil our water and they are giving us a refund/good will gesture because of the hassle involved. I pay extra rent to my landlord to cover the water bill and he pays it by direct debit as he wanted to keep it his name. The water bills still come in his name and therefore so will the cheque they send. He will also get one for the property he lives at.
Without trying to sound as though i'm scrounging but should he get to keep it or should he pass it on to me since it was me paying for the bottled water and extra electric to boil it?

According to Welsh Water web site:-
“Water quality is our top priority and we initiated this boiling notice to ensure public health was fully protected. So far, there have been no reported cases of illness as a result of the cryptosporidium in the water supply.”
Mr Perry continued: “We are very sorry that this precaution has meant customers have had to boil water and, as promised, we will be sending them a cheque for £25 for the inconvenience caused. This will arrive within the next 21 days and is an automatic process. Customers do not need to contact us to ask for the payment."
So if I were you I'd just ask the landlord if it would be OK to deduct the £25 from the next bill rather than incurring additional bank charges for issuing and banking the cheque. Make it look like you were taking for granted that you would get the money from him / her as this is only fair.0
