  • Hope the other idiots who act like him & think they can get away with it have learnt by this cheeky chappy being on the news... you get caught in the end, or worse you hit someone which no one wants to happen.

Surprised he managed to get that amount of points though before being banned. It might do him good walking to work exersice an all, at least he won't be a danger to pedestrians or other road users that way.

Bikers always seem to get a bad rap, so what really annoys me about this chap is he does nothing to improve our image. Most bikers are responsible, law-abiding, ordinary decent folks and are nothing like this idiot. He definitely deserves his punishment (and more IMHO)

Lots of police hours wasted in my opinion, how many hit and runs have they solved since he did it?

So, as he was disqualified unter the "totting up" procedure, rather than for a single offence, would anyone like to hazard a guess as to how many points will be on his licence when he gets it back after serving the ban?

Yup, you got it, it's zero; standard procedure for licence points to be wiped clean after a ban of 56 days or more. So the whole 39 points thing was really just a bit of showboating by the Magistrates to get into the national headlines - 12 points would have had exactly the same outcome.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

But presumable he’ll have to declare then to his insurance company with the ££££ effects of that

Well obviously the case should of been investigated, but the man hours could of been spent better in my opinion.

Oh he had a one off jacket, lets find that biker. Around here the case was the biker with one off fog lights.

Lots of time is spent on these cases and I think the time could easily be spent on hammering the uninsured out there.

I have never been able to wheelie any of mine :-(. Respect to those with the clutch and throttle control, and the balance, to pull it off.
