Urgent- BFPO addresses???

Hiya,

new to selling on ebay so need advice. Selling a skirt, listing ends tomorrow night and I've had a question from a watcher. Here goes:

Hi, Would you be happy to send this item to a BFPO address? This is a British military address to which postage is the same cost as though sending to any address in the UK. Ebay do not accept BFPO addresses into their system - although they do accept Amercian military addresses!

Is this correct, postage being of same cost? Will email her back and check were she is based.

Thanks in advance for advice.

As above, it is correct. Not quite sure what they mean by "ebay don't accept BFPO addresses" though, I've sent to them before and the address came via ebay/paypal as usual.

maybe they meant you can't print bfpo addresses through paypal postage?

i tried last week and it wouldn't accept the address without a valid postcode. I ended up putting their address and my postcode, then tippexing out my postcode.

it is the same price as sending mail within the uk. you just need to write "BRITISH FORCES MAIL" or similar on the packet, and an airmail sticker too i think.

This is what it will be. It doesn't recognize BFPO postcodes

It will be the same cost as posting to the UK, royal mail deliver it all to a depot in (I think) Mill Hill and the Forces take it from there

Two other thoughts that occur to me…..
    Can BFPO addresses be confirmed?
Do pay pal acceptable tracking methods work with them?

The buyer having a confirmed address is no longer a prerequisite to qualify for the Seller Protection Programme.

Ahh, didn't realise that, what about tracking?
