    According to the Sunday Times about a month or so back, Devon and Cornwall are actually the most expensive areas to live - the average house there costs over 7 times the average salary, compared to 5.1 times in the North of England.

    Apparently, prices in Devon and Cornwall have increased dramatically following a large contingency of the silver-haired population moving there.
