Howling/crying Doggy!

I just read a thread on dogpages abot the subject of whether to let your younger dog see the other one after he has been put to sleep which I thought may be helpful- the thread is here, but basically everyone who had done this felt it was beneficial to the remaining dog and helped them nderstand what had happened and were less upset as a result.
We never let Biff see Bob after he had died and he was looking everywhere for him for weeks :-(

sorry - it is just too sad, but maybe helpful too I hope?
I get really upset about it too, but it is a sad reality that we all have to face when we have pets, and thinking about how to support any remaining dogs is important for their sake.0 -

Yes, the experiences of others is helpful when trying to decide how best to deal with things, without doubt.
It was a useful link........it just pulled on the old heartstrings.

.... am not really bothered what the neighbours think one side has 4 dogs who just love to bark and howl ALL at the same time:mad: and at the other side one dog who, as soon as neighbour has left the house just loves to howl and howl!! My concern is OH not sleeping!
Neighbours always find something to complain about:rolleyes:Thomson 757 Man0 -
I solved this problem by putting my older dogs collar on the younger dog and it worked.0

Well she lasted a while longer.
We had to take my darling big doggie to the vet yesterday and she has gone , i am devastated, 17yrs and 8mths and i can't believe she is not here.
On the plus side darling little doggie didn't make a sound last night he went straight to bed like a good boy. I brought her collar and lead home and left them on the floor for awhile so he could have a sniff (just thought it was the right thing to do!) and we haven't washed the bedding, will leave that for a couple of days.
Thanks to everybody foryour help and suggestins and kind words so.......:A To my darling Brodie, my faithful companion and best friend for 17yrs and more.Whos finest hour was biting my ex when he was in one of his violent moods :T  :T
:A i will miss you more than words can say and you will forever be in my heart.:A
