I went into Boots on Saturday to buy some mobile phone top ups but the lady said you need a swipe card so I was not able to do this0

I usually top up via the freephone number from my Orange phone. If you top-up £50, you get an extra £5 credit for free, so your credit is effectively £55.
Can you do the same deal in-store or online, when you top up by £50? Combined with triple points you could get an effective discount of, uh, 20% or so, I'll let someone else do the maths!
Keith.
Keith, i always top up my Orange phone with £50 too, to make the most of the the extra 10%,and yes, this is available in-store too. even better when its triple points too0 -
Dont forget to go to the advantage card machine, i got a 300 points when spending £30+ voucher and used my double points vouchers as well,
I spent £99 and got ...
696 points (inc 300 bonus)
396 double points
792 triple points
Total. £18.84 in points so nearly a 19% discount0 -
You MSErs are so JAMMY for getting away with using Double Points couposn AND Total Spend couposn in the same transaction on a Triple Points day.
Our branch is full of jobworthys who would jsut say *you can't use more than 1 coupon per transaction* and *oh no we can't accept that 1 on a Triple Points day* blah blah
Sometimes I wish I could shop exclusively @ the Inverness Retail Park branch but it's such a pain in the neck to gt to when you don't drive, consequently I have no choice but to put up with Eastgate Centre and their nonsense with coupons.my advantage_card is like gold dush0 -
Very amusing, I topped up my phone with £20 yesterday, got the triple points, but the transaction failed. I got my CC Refunded, but only single points were taken back from the advantage card. After registering a new topup card later and re-purchasing I got my triple points again. nice. That was a nice collection of 400 points for spending £20. If I had noticed at the time, I could have tried at each of the other tills!!0
