I don't mean to sound off but give the woman a break, a week isn't actually that long & maybe she can't get to a post office every day to send them (my mistake if it says on her page she sends immediately). There is still the possibility of it being stuck in the post. Royal mail are very behind on their deliveries in some areas, not in all & there are backlogs which it could be stuck in. Granted her communication skills don't seem to be particularly great but you never know if there has been a reason she hasn't acknowledged receipt of the emails you had previously sent.

As to what you can use in place of choc chips, chocolate buttons work great, just wait til they are on offer somewhere (they might already be but I haven't checked yet). I will start getting the ingredients for mine soon. poundland seems to have decent hot choc on offer for £1 so will probably go there for that :)

I don't know if grating/peeling(using a potato peeler) chocolate would work & achieve a nice expensive look to the cones, could be worth trying :)

I'd say the same as Helen, I've ordered loads of stuff off ebay recently which has taken a lot longer than usual to get here, she probably has a lot of emails off people asking where their items are which is why it took so long for her to get back to you. If she's already sent them (probably at the same time as the tubes) then there's not a lot else she can do as it's in Royal Mail's hands now and not her fault if they're taking ages to get them to you.

In regards to grating chocolate, I'm sure someone said early on in the thread that they tried this and the small pieces of chocolate slipped down the side of the two cones and made it look messy, maybe using the potato peeler would work though. I'm going to use chocolate buttons in mine :) Could maybe do some with white chocolate buttons too?

That is all well and good and appreciate what you are saying but....firstly I am an ebay seller and have never not answered peoples emails for a week, secondly when she finally emailed she did not seem bothered that she had sent them or not, that I have been emailing previously, it states in her bumph she will send out in two days so she knows how it works and to be on there to answer questions etc, not a newbie, not apologetic, not bothered, not interested, royal mail or no royal mail (I am getting daily mail here no probs) her attitude lacks masses:rolleyes:

Hello everybody, I have been a lurker on the thread for a while now, but since I saw the problem a few of you were having with the seller from ebay I thought I'd post. I bought my cello cones from http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/itsawrap0121. They arrived within a 2 days and you also get free ribbon with it but you do have to state what colour you want or they send cream (i forgot to ask for red). Also I am doing milk and white chocolate chips in my cones and I saw red and white stripe candy canes 50p for 12 bogof in my local B&M so snapped them up

Oh I see, I think the post is just being really messed up, I bought a sudoku cube and a stocking at the same time, the cube got here in about 3 days, and the stocking still hasn't arrived (bought on the 24th september) so I think it's being held hostage at the pileup at the PO. If you're unhappy with her attitude though then by all means complain. I'm considering getting mine from the seller that Shevs just posted about.

Thanks have just ordered some. I got my choc chips and mini marshmallows from the Deli Shop in Keith today and my drinking choc from Tesco. So once the cello cones arrive I am all set. Am making them for my mum's carers for Christmas day as she has 2 carers 4 times a day. Will give them other presents but this will be a wee extra for Christmas day. Might do the pots of gold as an extra for the carers at New Years Day.
You folks on here make me inspired to do more crafts etc so keep up the good work and thank you for all the ideas:T
