Has anyone else not used plain cello bags for the snowman soup? Not sure i trust the ebay seller with all their neg feedback yesterday, so tempted to make my own but only have spotted cellophane. Do you think this would look OK.

To the people only using one cone, has the separate layers stayed separate or have they moved around at all?

    Thanks

Wow - I just checed the feedback! I got my cones from them and never had a problem - maybe the influx of us lot buying has been too much for the seller to cope with:D

I'm sure spotted cellophane would look good - I might give it a go myself (use a cone inside for choc then use cello for outside wrap) save using 2 cones for every soup:T

we had the soup priced up at £1, thinking that nobody would buy anything! but i reckon i could have got a little more for it, maybe next time i will sell it at 1.50 and see if its still as popular

I only did little bags of reindeer food so they were 50p each, I had a sign on the front of them saying it was not for human consumption, only for rudolph and his friends, but to be honest... anyone who thinks they could eat something with that much glitter in it deserves to poo sparkles for a week.

what do you want to know almond?
it was a fete/event/thingy that me and some others organised for the Starlight Foundation charity, they grant wishes for seriously ill and terminally ill children, we made a donation to have our stall, but as we were also organisers we donated the christmas cake for the guess the weight game and the lucky dip...
there was a tabletop sale, tombola, raffle, etc, (think summer fete) but it wasnt huge by any means, and we set up our stuff there, we had 2 'demo' nappy cakes (as we do them to order... but i find you need one to show people or they cant get thier head round what your on about)
loads of flannel muffins, different colours and toppings, £1.25 each
jars of nothing (jars were baby food size- all ready collected) 50p each
little bags of reindeer food - 50p
    snowman soup - £1
pints of socks - £2.50 each
real cupcakes frosted - 45p each, and the kids ones high school musical and wwe wrestlers - 35p
bags of 4 cookies - oat and raisin or chocolate chip - £1
and our hand made cards.... those are all priced between £1 - £2.50

    umm... i think thats it....
anyway, the only thing that didnt sell that well were the real cupcakes, but even they started to shift towards the end,
in general people loved our stuff as they obviously dont come on MSE and some of it they had never seen before, so thought it all all very original!

re feedback for the cello seller - if its that vanda, i owe her some feedback too but as i have mixed opinions i havent done it, i got my cello bags and something else id ordered really quickly, but i ordered 3 items and she hadnt sent the third, so i emailed a few times over the course of a week, and i actually had to threaten to report her to ebay before she would even answer me.... and then she only said she must of sent it with the other things, but claimed she had sent a replacement which i also never got,
i didnt believe a word of this replacement malarkey as she kept flip flopping around about it, so told her that as it was an in the night garden birthday banner for my sons first birthday and i was running out of time that i was going to have to buy it from someone else and leave her 3 bad feedback which would do her business no good at all.... and one turned up 2 days later *miraculously!*

    Hi,

don't know if this would be of help to anyone but I was looking through ebay for cello cones - I had bought my ones from vanda 5442 who is getting some negative feedback - I got mine a week after payment - coincidentally the day after I emailed them to check if they had been dispatched and although there was no reply the postage frank said that they had been posted on the day I asked that question! - anyway whilst hunting through I did find these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=260314006211 - haven't used this seller but their feedback is 100% so they may be a better option.

  • Has anyone got a template for the labels? I don't know how to put multiple labels on one sheet to make it easier for printing.

    hi
have just ordered from vanda but are going to send an email saying i need them sending this week, here is a thought why not use one bag for the coca
then get a circle of cellophane for the marshmallows, make a hole in the bottom, put in some ribbon in a loop gather all together and you could hang them from xmas tree. hope somebody can follow what i mean? in a rush at moment and can't try since i don't have bags yet
