Can we post updates on stores that have offers on for the supplies?
    eg: candy canes in Morrisons

Also can somone explain about the double bagging of the ingredients. Cones look lovely but may just invest in a bag sealer & do oblong ones as we are making in bulk.

    Hi,

I got candy sticks from "Works" 99p a box. This was in Gloucester Quays.

My daughter bought a bag of Wispa pieces from the Cadbury's shop also at Glos Quays. That was £2.99 but quite a big bag.

We also bought various sachets of Galaxy, Maltezer Choc drinks. i think that was 99p shop,6 per box.

DD also bought celephane bags, and small bags (for choc bits & marshmallows) to seal from ebay.

Oh dear, I have loads of work to do today and can see it all going out of the window as I read through this thread and then go shopping for ingredients!

How about making them all one as they are really quick and easy to do but maybe get a nice mug to go with the one for your little girls teacher.

Sorry, didn't pop back in until now. Great suggestion I think I will do this. Thanks.

Need to get my Cello cones sorted, I've seen a few on ebay, but unsure of sizes. Can anyone tell me what size they use.

I'm also after some bags for my bags of gold and sweet kebabs / flowers seen a mixture of sizes for £9.99 which I thought was quite good. I have looked at so many I'm like yeah that size is right then confused myself cos some were in cms and others inches. aaarrghhh. :) What do you think seems a good size range.

Size: (width x gusset x height)

This mix contains 50 each of :

    3 x 1.5 x 7"

    3 x 2 x 9"

    3.5 x 2.5 x 11"

    6 x 2 x 12"

    Thanks

Johnswife - your daughter's snowman soups are fab. They are how I presented mine last year. (I only joined mid December so didn't have much time) I've bought my cones and so I'm doing them the other way this year.

I can't remember who said, but thanks for the suggestion of putting popcorn in for Christmas Eve hampers. Brilliant idea!

    Thanks Hollie

Works out about 4p a bag so I'm sure we'll get good use from them, especially if the chocolate making turns out well

Im not sure if anyone has though to put mini whisks with these but they do look fab - I found these

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-x-5-Mini-Wire-Whisk-Egg-Beate-Wedding-Party-Favor-/350242200940?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Celebrations_Occasions_ET&hash=item518c0fdd6c

They also have 7" ones for the same price for 10 -

I did some snowman soup jars using the little spice jars from Ikea and the 5" ones suit great and dont look out of place on the cello bags either!

Not a bad little touch for family/friends but probably bump it up a bit much for selling them!

Actually if you prefer 7" ones you're better with this seller - cheaper for 12 and free postage!!
