If you have done or are doing the Bcs Psychology course you may beable to help me! I am a first sememster first year student and am going round in circles can anyone let me have or tell me where I can find a copy of : Bower GH, Black JB & Turner TJ. 1969. 'Scripts in Memory for Text' Cognitive Psychology 11 P177-220. I am also looking for comparable experiments that either support or refute the outcome of the bower experiment.
Any help is much appreciated.

have you tried looking in the university library or asking at the help desk there, at my uni the place is huge and the library staff can usually tell you where to look or put a call out for that info for you. Also check with your department to see if they sign up to journals on the internetI know the rules of punctuation and grammer I just choose to ignore them (or forget them half the time)... Apologies in advance0

Yeah, that was the first place I looked, my uni do not hold a copy and the other journal libraries they recommend do not hold it either!Cats have 9 lives, we only get 1 so live a little! :rotfl:0 -
Do you ACTUALLY need the journal? OR a synopsis of the experiment, method, outcomes etc?
The former is obviously proving difficult to source so go back to the Tutor who set the assignment and seek clarification - you will waste too much time otherwise.
If it is the latter then a synopsis should be available from the sources you (and we) have identified so you can get on with your essay/experiment/assignment.
I think you are achieveing nothing by what i suspect to be a fruitless and unnecessary search for an original journal.
As you keep reminding us you are a first year student - you should be building knowledge and practicing techniques not wasting time looking for pretty obscure research papers which frankly contribute sod all to the big picture.
