I haven't got much time either this morning. However, inspired by 'control freak psychopaths' (aka sophiesmum) and 'stalkers' (aka Janey's mum's puppy), I have decided to join in the fun....
Yesterday I bought some fancy new bathroom scales that not only weigh you, but also give you ECT. Or rather they send a small (and harmless!) electric current up your legs to measure your fat, water and muscle content. Well, that's the theory - it will take me until the New Year to programme it!
I did manage to weigh myself. I need to lose 39 kilos. So that will be my stockpiling target. 39 kilos of stockpiled goods so I can motivate myself by seeing what I am carrying around. (I was going to buy 39kg of sugar but felt that defeated the object).
I have a doctor's appointment next week so I can do this weight loss under medical supervision.
I shall be trying to walk more too.
Right, see you later.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Hooray, the sun is shining here! It was horrible yesterday, I decided not to go to my salsa class in the evening as it was really cold, windy and pouring with rain. The good news is that saved me £5.50 plus a bit of petrol, but I really ought to have gone for the exercise. Still, I got a bit further with my 'finish cross stitching a firescreen for Nana's Christmas present' project. Started in early September, and I'm about a third of the way through. She might be getting it for her birthday instead...Live on £11k in 20110

For which the shoppers in the stores you would otherwise have visited are no doubt silently [strike]deadly[/strike] grateful
Congratulations on completing the first day of your eating plan :T
(Have to confess a sudden increase of f&v/pulses normally hits me on about day 3, so am surprised you've "suffered" today!)
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I know, it is really dodgy, it's got to be the soup cause there was all sorts of veg and lentils in it. I think we are all probably 'plumbed' differently because the effect is almost instant with me every time I do this. Good job DH is away, he would need a gas mask.

Can I join in too please? I have some of those scales but I have NEVER stood on them because I know it's BAD. I do know that I have to loose more than 25kg. I had heard of buying the weight in sugar too but I also thought it defeted the object. It never occured to me to buy other stuff. What sort of 'stuff' are you buying - it it 'treats' or run of the mill? Can you let me know how it works?
I shall weigh myself now. I'm having my hair cut this pm so that will loose me a few [STRIKE]pounds[/STRIKE] grammes:rotfl:Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -

Not sure if I could afford to buy the equivalent weight in food of the weight I have to loose  Lets just say I'm very obese and have more than 39kgs to go till I'm a healthy weight :eek:Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Hardly used the heating and when we have just in bursts when its really cold or damp so hoping the bill will reflect that
You all sound like you are doing great love the cupboard sophiesmum better than my system ie scattered throughout the house
Got majority of christmas gifts bought or made and lots of winter veg in the garden my 100 leeks cost me £2 and about 100 cabbage/cauli/broccoli plants about £10 dead pleased with that

Good afternoon everyone. Janey is now en route home and we've had a lovely non-stop, chatty day (poor woman is lucky to get a word in edgeways) and we went for a run to see the new house. Decorators were in and it was looking lovely and fresh, plus so much warmer than here! And the lovely Janey brought me some packs of veggie seeds for the new garden project - much appreciated.
We also visited a local book shop who have kindly offered to do me an exchange - bartering is GOOD!
Checked my soup in slow cooker this morning and I had set the timer wrongly, so it had switched off! Let's just say it wasn't my best pot of lentil soup! Now off to make some mince and potatoes with suet dumplings for dinner, as DS is working late and won't be in before 6. Hopefully, I have now managed to rehome another box of clear-out-pre-house-move stuff as someone has responded to my G*mtree ad. Doing much better there than elsewhere and my ads are still tracking at 30p each via cashback. :T
Hope everything is ok with everyone as I've only skimmed the posts. Good luck with the stockpile dieting, I briefly considered joining you all, but failed so miserably on my February 'minimise me' challenge, that I've decided to make 2009 my year for getting fit.
I haven't spotted Marru, so I'm hoping she is just really busy with college etc
Back later to catch up properlyI reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.
