Miracles will never cease: I have finally listed 3 things on ebay:j . Plenty more to go.
Janey - you are building a wonderful picture of your mother. This is such a good idea, well done to who ever suggested it (whitewing I thnk:T ). Using new kitchen scales I got with nectar points form argos yesterday:j . And put 2nd half of monthly perol buget in car today (£30 twice a month) using the cheapest petrol website - saved 30p by going to a different station to asda). I am so petrol price aware now -wouldn't have had a clue before how much it costs.
Must go and do imeasure readings now...
Nyk - I'd be axious about the ' no reply to phone calls re house' too. Hope you get a response soon. I assume nothing is signed yet?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Panic maybe over -possible explanation - we had no post this morning, so I asked at post office and was informed that there's some sort of local holiday today and next Monday. Postman was off today and next Monday the post office is closed. Haven't a clue what it's in aid of but I'm hoping that the estate agents are on the same holiday schedule as the postman. Everything takes so much longer when it's happening in a more rural area because they don't have weekend opening in places like estate agents. If there's still no response tomorrow, however, then I will be worried. We have a provisional entry date, but it's dependant on work being completed at the new house. Getting anything done in a hurry about here is almost impossible and if anyone's lived in the country, money doesn't talk, so there's no way to speed things along when it's relating to tradesmen. The job gets done when they get around to it.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Hello all,
I started at college today in the other group and it feels like the right thing to do. I was so much more relaxed after the day that I was actually able to keep my client dog under control. Just proves how much can be achieved with positive mind set. He was fabulous, didn't embarass me not once.
Thanks to my cooking marathon yesterday I had lots of yummy food in the house and that added to the potato salad and olives that I got from co-op today I had such a lovely meal (Bails it included salad with spinach leaves). I wish I could be organised enough to have a meal like that every evening and it took me only few minutes to put together and heat up.
Ummm about the piggies. I figured that I could put up to five girls into the big (=huge) cage and then both my boys can have their separate bachelor pads. Fingers crossed that my excisting girls will accept this new girl. They are not exactly pals as yet but not enemies either. And after my baby has been castrated the boys can take turns to join the girls on their outings.
I have to give in and arrange another dentist appointment. Also might need to bite the bullet and try to find out if I can get that Tesco eye test as to get new glasses (as in Martin's latest email).
Those who have Paddy Power account, PP has free bingo tonight in gold room starting at 8, see you there.
Nyk: lets hope that you will get the good news soon!!!!!!!
Mrs Hayes: You are entitled to!!!! It is NORMAL!!!
Anybody else: HELLO!!!!
Enjoy your evenings,

Anyone know who's rates the site uses to calculate costs. Oh and I got a carbon rating of E would like to at least get into the C rating without freezing.
Just entered my readings and am amazed at how low my costs are according to them (expecting a bill in a week or so, so we shall see how they compare).
Found this info in their FAQ
"imeasure assumes a rate of 3.5p/kWh for gas and 12p/kWh for electricity. imeasure simply multiples your energy use for each gas and electricity by the pence per kWh. These standard tariff rates do not include standing charges or VAT nor do they take into account of dual fuel rates (i.e. rates offered by utility companies providing you with both your electricity and gas) or a 2-rate system (i.e. one rate for the first x kWh you use and a second rate once exceeding x kWh). Future imeasure developments will enable you to specify more precisely your tariff rates so we can give more accurate feedback on your energy spend"
Well, I've got duel fuel and one of those so much for the first however many units then a second rate for the rest systems, so does that mean my actual cost will be even lower? (can you see me tightly crossing my fingers? :rotfl: )
Janey - what a lovely picture of your Mum you are building up with your daily memories
