SL - Thank you so much, that was priceless!!! I don't think I want to inflict that much pain on Bails. After today it is unlikely he will be back. I won't be holding my breath. I think what I need is a bodyguard to escort him out after DD is in bed and he has gulped his coffee down. Perhaps a trip to local rugby club is in order....;)"Everything will be alright in the end. I've remembered something that I would like to buy with my sealed pot money;) , when I went to costco last they had a gorgeous Nativity set. It was £57:eek: but I have decided to treat myself to one this week as it really was lovely(and big!) It is the sort of thing that could become a family heirloom and passed down.
I used to have a small wooden one but it got left behind when I left my ex and every xmas I miss it.So that will be my xmas present to myself:j0 -

I'm glad I made you laugh Marru, I think you needed to after honky twonks visit (now I am being silly and I am laughing).
I got a nasty surprise after tallying up what I have spent this month:eek:  . No way did I think I went through money like that. I am so ashamed, I cannot reveal how much it is, well I'd better come clean £2000    .
This does not include any direct debits, but I have paid £1100 in debt. I have spent £200 approx on presents, £200 almost on petrol and the other stuff I can't remember, I would need to refer to the book. Oh, I've spent £250 on shopping but have been setting my stockpile up, so that's not so bad. I don't know what December will bring, but hopefully will start really drawing the horns in come January when I start the challenge properly. I'll use spending diary.com this month. I have figured something out though, I SPEND TOO MUCH, NO WONDER I AM SKINT LYNNE!!!!!!!:o0 -
Morning! I've been away for the weekend so will catch up on everything I've missed soon. I got the call about the house Saturday morning, and my offer has been accepted :j

Bf got to do the scary 'meet the family' thing this weekend, he's now met my Dad, Nan, a couple of Aunts and two of my friends and it went very well, though my Dad made him watch football on TV he mananged to put up with it.... Histon is my local team so I was glad they won, even though I'm not reallly a fan. It's my birthday today so bf is coming round this evening to cook me something niceLive on £11k in 20110 -
Marru, sorry to hear about your ex. What a pain, and you can't just slam the door in his face because of DD.
Sophiesmum, I remember ages ago there was a post that said, 'Sophiesmum, your pedestal is so high now I can't see you' - well, I don't know how high it's got since then! You really are amazing.
Nyk, I think you should be congratulating yourself on having SO MUCH left after a year in which you moved house!
As for me, after twenty years of living with a VILE bathroom suite and VILE tiles around it....excuse me, I'm going to run mad... the plumbers are here, the plumbers are here, the plumbers are here, the plumbers are here, the plumbers are here.:dance::dance: I think you get the drift.PS Edited in: congratulations Lynda!!!!!

I didn't get the job, why? Because I have my own business!!!   This is where I am falling down all the time. I think that I am going to need to lie and pretend that I am employed by someone else or I am never going to get anything. Terrible, I know, but that's what I feel like doing just to get started somewhere. Never mind, onwards and upwards as they say!!!0

Congrats to Lynda on the house :T But  at the price !! That's more than we paid for our 4 bed detached (though that was the price as of September 2001)
((hugs)) for Marru. I'd be telling the dipstick where to go too.....
((hugs)) over the job Lynne.Cheryl0 -

See you laterDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
:bdaycake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYNDA and CONGRATULATIONS, hope all goes well with the house and that the sale concludes soon. I LOVE the back garden, plenty of scope there for some self-sufficientish veggie growing! :j
My commiserations to SkintLynne, self-employment is a definite minus point when going for a job, I found that out too. However, I registered through a recruitment agency and the first temp contract I got, I ended up being asked to stay on as a fulltime employee, so that may be something worth thinking about. I went through Hayes Montrose, I think they may have an office in Glasgow. Website's at www.Hayes.com and I'm sure you can register online.
Back soon to catch up, need to finish some work. And don't forget that today is count the sealed pot day, so 'Phil the Pig' will need to become 'Empty the Pig' so I can update my signature and see how much extra I have for Christmas. :rotfl:I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.
