Morning Shaz,
There is a thread on chocolate slabs, it's on the special occasions and celebrations board. I can't do linky things but it is pretty high up the page just now (9.15am), so people are talking about it a lot.
If someone would oblige in telling me how to do the linky things that would be great.
Catch you all later, I'm going out for my butterfly mould after breakfast.0 -

That sounds lovely , I'm doing rustic theme this year with the tree, might try something like that for my fireplace. Please post pic if you get it to work.:D
Just had to take DD to stables as her scooter is out of action, all the trees at the farm were full of melting icicles, they looked like glass trees with jewels dripping off them, all sparkling in the winter sun. I just stopped the car and sat and looked at them for about ten minutes it was really beautiful.
It has put me in a lovely mood for the day and best of all it was free.......:D0 -

Ohhhhh this sounds nomnomnomnom  Hmmmmmmmm I have 3 butternut squashes and loads of cans of chickpeas to use up so I think I might just pop out to the ethnic grocers to see if they have any of the more obscure spices/mixes...

Hello all,
I wasn't going to come here to let steam off but here I am. DD's dad was supposed to come at lunch time. We agreed yesterday that no later than two pm. It is half three and quess what - not a beep. DD has been winding me up all day because she is so exited and I am getting more and more cross. By the time he is here there is no time for them to spend in the play centre i.e. no time for me to do my college work  i.e me spending tonight working with my assignments when I am already tired due to DD waking me up at 3 am and I couldn't sleep properly after that and after dealing with over exited child all day.
Ok on the positive note, I have 4 portions of pasta bake going into the freezer, I have almost finished the curry and rice just need to add the chicken. I cooked too much rice, any great ideas how I can use the rest? And I made sandwiches for five days into the freezer (2 sandwiches per day as I am hungry when I am at college).
Thanks, rant over, hope everybody else has had a better day...
Marru
PS almost forgot to say: what a wonderful pressies and decorations SM and Shaz :T"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Sophiesmum the chocolate butterfly was it Mr A choc from the sweetie aisle or the baking aisle? did you add anything or doanything to it, just read the slab thread and seems a lot of confusion over melting etc

Marru, that's really pants and it makes me mad when parents do this to kids. Sorry you're left with mopping up the result:(
As for freezing rice - I believe re heating rice is one ofthe highest causes of food poisening. I think you have to make sure it is really 'piping hot' when reheated.
Sold one of my ebay items for £32:j :j .Need to rewrite one that didn't sell, as 5 others of the same thing have loads of bids on them.
Enjoying everyones goodies piccies:T .
