  • We've got poundland, and I'll be taking my mum to town tomorrow, (she is going to marks), so there is one straight across the road. if they don't have them, then that would be great if you could pick one up for me. I'll let you know how I get on. I am glad that I have 'met' you, how many good ideas can one person have?:A

You should write a book, '1000 great hints and tips by sophiesmum'. I guarantee, it would be a best seller, I would buy it!!:T :T

forgot to tell you, I got a silicone ice cube tray in tesco tonight, for the stirrers, they are square cubes, but smaller than usual, and I think they will work well. I showed my young sister the ones you made and the boots ones and she was amazed.

They should work well , don't forget to use some card or something to hold the sticks in place or they will just fall over.
Re the hints nd tips - I hve had lots of good tips from everyone on here too:T :T

ps sorry about the missing a's in my posts my A key fell off and is very temperamentl :o

    Hi kayleighj,

It's nearly the beginning of Dec. How about we add you to the list now, and you can have a month's training before the New Year?

    Welcome aboard.

  • I would but have been off sick and in a pickle!

Humph! I nod off in front of the TV for a few hours, and wake up to pics that leave me with a grumbling tummy :rolleyes2

I luuuurve plain chocolate coated marzipan -- in fact I've been thanking my lucky stars for most of the last 16 months that one of our "local" cheap shops isn't actually local enough for me to use without driving (and normally paying parking), as every time I go in I end up with a slab (or three) of the stuff

And then L1dl go and get it in !!!! So I've had to stop "popping in" to see what offers they have on..... I'm hoping it's just in the run up to Christmas, as it's with the choccy coins and advent calendars. If they carry it on in the New Year, then I dread to think how my GC budget (and waistline) are going to suffer through 2009 :(

BTW: Double scratch on Littlew00ds again today (Sunday)

  • Well the choc and marzipn are safe from me :p but cheese and pringles thats a different matter all together:rolleyes:  .

I have just finished decluttering OH's drawers and cupboard in the lounge, hve to do it when he is on nights or he won't let me chuck anything away....he is now a half a bin bag less cluttered:rotfl: :rotfl:

I am soooooo relieved to hear I'm not the only person this happens too:j

Took me years to work out why, but I finally came to the conclusion that it was not being at work

If I were at work I'd eat crisps, sweets and biscuits at regular intervals during the day, plus I'd be stuck behind a desk all day.

But take a 10-14 days off work for the holiday season, and I'd be rushing around doing the last minute shopping (presents and food), looking after the kids, on my feet cooking meals, delivering presents etc. And a lot of people blaim seasonal weight gain on the extra alcohol they drink -- which for me amounted to half a bottle of wine (the sum total of what I'd have) as I rarely drink at any point in the year.
