BB: not to worry, I have given up on putting money into her trust fund and into my ISA a long time ago. I have put aside small amount to pay for a certain altarnative therapy couse as I really want to be a practitioner in that as it will so well complement all the other animal stuff I am doing.
Nyk: Thanks, will look into the aupair thingy, it would be great to get one from my home country. I will get the spare bedroom as soon as the books I packed on Sunday are gone. Except I am still sleeping in the sitting room due to having an elderly dog.
Night night now..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

PS I did think of selling myself in eBay: Damsel in distress - spronsor needed...
I sold sponsorship of my car on ebay once. £12.50, sent the sponsor letters every 3 months letting him know what shows Brian the panda car had visited and how the MOT / servicing etc was going. He seemed really happy with the letters, I got some money... don't see why it wouldn't work for a Marru instead of a Brian :rotfl:
P.S. Why is it that all HR people seem to take holiday at the most inconvenient moments - i.e. today. Still, at least one of them should be reappearing tomorrow so I can get my leaving date sorted out.Live on £11k in 20110 -
The good, congrats to Lynda on the new job, Nyk on the new house, Marru on the potential new family additions and everyone else for your cheerful posts. For those who aren't too cheerful today, hugs.
The bad, just redid my budgetting spreadsheet and, for some reason, whilst I thought I'd be living on £16K next year, the budget is now coming out at £19.5K . Not sure where on earth the extra £3.5K has appeared from since all I've done is moved some things into different categories so I can separate my business and personal spending. Also, still no news on my mortgage rate dropping to reflect the BOE cut. Come on Co-op, the suspense is killing me.
The ugly, as well as having to find a way of shaving off that mysterious £3.5K, I've just treated myself to a new set of kitchen knives. Don't ask the cost, since they're Japanese and therefore nearly as much as my mortgage . Particularly for someone whose idea of cooking begins and ends at spag bol/chilli and (thanks to you lot) the odd SC casserole/curry.
Wish me luck guys, I'm going to look for my missing £4K (budget discrepancy plus a bit extra to cover my knives) down the back of the sofa:rotfl:2009 CLEAR MORTGAGE:starmod: (17/2/09) LIVE ON 4K Q1:staradmin(£5,405) SAVE 30K (£9.500)0 -

Had a call from the local hospital just over 3 hours ago. My husband lost his battle with cancer at quarter to 3 this morning.
I'll probably be around reading the thread (the Internet is my sanity), but don't expect to be posting much for the next few days.Cheryl0 -

All Is Well
Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household world that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.
All is well.
