Just a quickie I'm afraid as I've spent all my time catching up on the weekend's posts!
Marru, glad you're feeling better Marru, I echo what everyone said, the course is your ticket to a world you love. I know you won't want to hear this but streamlining some of the other 'not so essential' things (and by this I definitely don't mean fun things) will help you even further. Feel free to book me in post-Morocco for another session if you like;) (I only charge coffee and biccies).
Nyk, the house and garden looks fab, I'll be looking forward to the updates! And great idea for your front garden Shaz, esp with the potential prize money :T I'm in a but of a quandry with our garden as I won't really see the fruits of my labours if we do go away...
Redglass, in my book if treating yourself helped then it was definitely worth it :grouphug:
What a fantastic rebate BB, I'm so pleased for you! (will FB you hopefully tomorrow inbetween packing/sorting out the animals/sign language - notice I said hopefullyxx)
If you've almost forgotten about the job then it must've been a great weekend LyndaHope you hear something positive this week.
The financial conversation has been great and I would just like to echo others in saying everyone is very welcome here whatever their circumstances because we can all learn something valuable from each other. I love the idea that we are a little frugal community sharing a similar outlook :T
Well done on the decluttering Taka, any change is a real success to me so don't be too hard on yourself. The odd 15 minutes here and there will keep the momentum going (strictly not to be considered if you're working 13 hourdays though!)
I'm sorry, I'm sure there was more to say but really need to catch up with a friend before I go away and of course I have the Strictly update to watch :rotfl:If I don't get a chance tomorrow, I hope you all have a lovely week and I'll be back on 25th xxThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

My potatoes are probably mashed by now but I have been surfing the net to find these guys and completely fallen in love with them:
Ok, ok, I know I don't have time to clean another cage. But they are soooo cute!!!

Marru, step AWAY form the cute fluffy things:rotfl: . (Not many of them in accountency eh?)
I'm seriously considering giving up on the idea of ebaying. I just find it really stressful and it holds me back from clearing out properly. For all the effort, how much am I actually going to make £50. While that is a lot of money, I am aiming to save that and more with my Hse ins hunt.
I'm ultimately trying to simplify my life, not make it more stressful.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
BB - I'm with you on the ebay thing. I have spent all week tripping over toys and stuff that the kids no longer want. They are a bit bulky and not in top condition so I am hesitating about bothering but I can't quite make myself get rid.
I didn't donate for Children in Need though so perhaps I could repent by taking them to a childrens charity. Hmmmmmm. If only I was better at making decisions..........:rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Go with how you feel BB. Making the most if what you have of course isn't just about money - if the freedom and clear space outweighs the cash then your localcharity shop will be VERY pleased to see you x
Marru, definitely step away from the fluffy things :rotfl:

I got the job
Congratulations!!
I've had an annoyingly unfrugal morning - I lost my bus pass so had to pay for the bus to get a new one then pay for the replacement. I have completely blown my miscellaneous budget this month. I also seem to have been a bit too enthusiastic with the shredding yesterday. I think I've shredded the Tesco receipt I needed to return my mop. I can't find it anywhere! Would I get credit if I try to return it without the receipt or just get laughed at?
On the work front it looks like the 13hr expts have been delayed for a while :j :shhh:  Oh hang... on that means I get to clean instead... :rotfl:
Right... time for food...Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!
