how can you budget your weeks shopping when the prices change so dramatically week to week?

It'll depend on either wholesale costs and competition prices. It'll stay like that if consumers want everything as cheap as possible. You can complain but it won't change, it's industry and nationwide.

I just found it weird that the price of an item would fgo frm £3.74 to £3.20 then go to £3.97, but maybe theres nothing weird in it at all, uktim made a valid point
  • Yes, yes quite correct.

What we should do is form a small but fiercely competitive supermarket and price match Tesco at every opportunity, also refine our own oil into petrol and print our own money.

We wouldnt have to put up with this western hedonistic capitalistic pc gawn mad rubbish. Imagine what would of happened if Bradford and Bingley was run by socialism coupled with a socialist foreign policy????? ?? Eh, YOU tell me.

I bulk buy pasta. A tescos own 3kg bag of penne was £2.50 yet a 3kg of conchiglie was £3.50! Now pasta is pasta and the only difference between these 2 is the shape!

Thank you to the person who said no question is a stupid question.Seems like their are a few people on here who have no manners! I've only been on twice and had rudeness both times.I have children so have to buy Fairy for washing. Nothing else works as well. And i do not shop in HMV as i know they are not the cheapest in town. And what is op?

fairy washing liquid for clothes in. Sorry if i did not make myself clear . My whole overall point was 'do not think that the supermarkets are doing anyone a favour by offering cheap brands as they raise other prices instore to compensate'. some people do not check prices and just buy because they need it.Shops still have to make a decent profit for the share holders.
