  • Hi everyone
Miss Piggy - I got a big airer from pounstretcher/instore if you have one near you, £7 for the cheaper quality one and £12 for a strong one, I have got 2 of the £7 ones, had one of them for years and not had problems with them.
I also share bathwater with my DS, we bath together but he is only 18 months.
I am still not well, going to take some getting over is this.
    I will hopefully
    - finish editing pics for a client
    - make a healthy meal for my DS using what is in the fridge
    - look on here for motivation
    - check online banks and maybe move some money around to enable me to better manage my money

  • Today I have -

    * Got a lift to work so I could get in earlier and make up some flexi-time (but came home sick 2hrs later :()
    * Paid £15 instead of £10 off my DP card because of the extra money at payday from the national tax rebate thing
    * Checked online banking
    * Used a topshop voucher I earnt on pigsback to buy some socks I wanted instead of forking out from my wages
    * Used the 3 for 2 offer in boots to buy my hair colour (got smoothing spray for free yay!)

Also, sold my tickets for Elton John today (can't go anymore *sob*) and because I listed them lower in the first place more people bidded on them than I thought would and i've ended up making £60 profit, yay!

    I've had a good day today I think :D

  • hi everyone :D busy thread today...
oh's payday so have paid off a £632 debt to my mum :T so all we have left is his 0% credit card (0% til mid Nov) and my two loans... down from eight debts to three now, feels much more manageable. Also he has some back pay due which should clear his overdraft (so four debts, d'oh!) so we are seeing light at the end of the tunnel, and now we have had his orange default removed we should be able to switch bank accounts (and leave evil hsbc forever!)
    Also i
    • brought in my breakfast and fruit (but bought lunch :o )
    • have checked mystery shops
    • have checked online banking and moved some money around
    Think that's all

    see you 2mw

  • Hiya
Piquant under three hundred already - woo hoo!!

I have sinned I have to say, I committed the terrible crime (well it feels like it) of putting my phone on charge at home (had to finish a paper and came home for peace) it just felt so wrong plugging it in here, so something must be sinking in!

I still think that's not your 'real list' Andan!! Pretty impressive nevertheless my list envy continues *sigh* - assignments huh
    - I have a paper to send in - done that (draft) now very depressed
-Literature review to finish (me thinks start would be more appropriate)
my supervisor is such a plum (sorry plums) that he doesnt talk to us mere mortals except in dire needs - or to berate any efforts I make (I use to think I could write! Though never claimed to be able to spell?!)

    Enough of that
    ahem

Mr Egg agreed an early settlement but only ten days to find 2300 (1000 less that it should be though) argh
(immense grovelling, loan from a friend 0% and juggle of cards needed)

    Changed addresses with bank
    Had home lunch
Got waterproofs looked out for Shetland (two sets, just seen the forecast)
    Back to work for meetings
Mot car tomorrow so drop it off and walk doggies back (2 for 1!)
    Car tax due - arghghgh
Tea out from freezer for when I am away.
Grovel to neighbour to let dd be there for 15mins before she leaves for school
Washing done, but torrential inbetween bright sunshine so no chance of line dry today.

And yeah its really cold isnt it???? Even here up north

Ps Well done Claireabelle - and hello to everyone, must join in challenges too!!
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

  • Have today:

Organised current account so all direct debits are covered, all grocery and incidentals money is allocated and put some aside for daughters birthday.

Have transferred 20.00 to my saving account (I put some aside each month, no matter how small an amount, to save for any emergencies) and it leaves a surplus of 160.00 in the current account - so will work hard to leave as much as I can in there and transfer over at the end of the month in to savings.

To help this, had a no spend day, read papers online during 15 minutes of lunchtime, brought in my own lunch and will cycle to allotment tonight to pick more beans for dinners later in the week.

Walked for 15 minutes at lunchtime to local greengrocer who let me have spare onion nets and potato sacks that he was going to throw away, so will be able to store my spuds and onions better over winter. Then of course 15 minutes walk back, so getting fitter!
    Unsecured debt 2008 c £45,000
Current unsecured debt February 2016 £1,734.85

Hi Ya sorry to butt in, with the mystery shops, I'd like to get in to this. Do you have any advice?

head on over to the up your income board and there is a thread dedicated to mystery shopping. Basically it is going into shops and assessing their services, but you do as a normal shopper so they don't know that you are assessing them.

Try retail eyes and grassroots as they often have quite a few jobs
