I quite fancy going overland via train and stopping off here and there for a night or two (may be a bit too ambitious for a first time independant traveller). If anyone can advise me if it possible to get direct tickets or would I have to book each leg seperately?
Thanks
Steven
I don't think it's too ambitious but don't overestimate the joy of travelling with children. It takes them a day or so to settle and adjust, in my experience they don't want to be up and moving as soon as they've started to find their way around. And while they might enjoy the train journeys, they might not be so keen on the transfers and waiting around. Only my opinion though.
When we did ferry/drive we did overnight stops and tried couple of night stays but would prefer to do without them.0 -
We went to the Garda village near Sirmoine last year. We flew with Ryanair into Bergamo airport, hired a car and sit was less than 1 hour down the motorway.
The bungalows and mobile homes are excellent. They appear in the Hoaseasons and Thomas Cook Italy brochures, however it is much cheaper booking direct.
