    The Icelandic government need to have their heads banged together. First when everybody has been waiting to hear what they are going to do they announce they are going to do nothing.

    Next they suspend shares because they might announce something soon.

    For goodness sake are they trying to flush their economy down the toilet? Make decisions guys - that's what you're paid for.

    Without knowing the definitive answer - I would hope that the compensation would be what your account held at that special moment in time when all hell breaks out and the fat hits the proverbial;
    i.e. if interest is paid daily, then that should be reflected in the compensation - but tbh I've not seen anything written except that compensation is supposed to leave the depositor no worse off....

    Anyhow - will you all stop this panicing - if it's going to happen, then there's nowt us mortals can do about it !!!!

    I'm staying put....
