3G help before 30/9 deadline!

I have changed job recently and now have to spend three nights away around the UK every couple of weeks, so only 6 to 8 nights max per month.

I would like to be able to look at the net and my emails whilst away and only forums like this footie ones etc.

I presume the 3G £5/month 18 month contract on the front page is the cheapest I will find? Is it any good? I know it depends where you are but that is unknown as I could be anywhere in the UK!

Also I don't want to spend much is the Acer thing in JL and Tescos OK for net browsing will it show all pages?

Or am I better off spending more on a proper laptop?

Any advice greatly received, I have to sign up to 3 £5/month by tomorrow!

THANKS

  • It looks great value at first glance. However, there are loads of issues with access speeds. If you're just checking emails and surfing forums then it shouldn't matter too much. Not much good for streaming audio/video!!
Wouldn't get either of those laptops for your surfing...1st may not work as it is LINUX, 2nd is too dear, you can get an XP ee pc for about 240...

    Hope this helps a bit

For the extra £2.50 per month (60p'ish per week) extra you will get 5gb. Much better bargain IMHO. 1gb is not a lot and it is expensive if you go over.

  • Not that I'm a great fan of cashback by redemption, but dialaphone are offering T-Mobile USB modem for £5pcm (after redemption £15 before) - better monthly allowance (3gb), but depends if you're happy to pay up front and claim back. Why not set an alert here to do it? Best of all it's a 12 month contract so chances of better upgrade at the end.
Claim £40 cashback on top through Quidco too!:T

    How is this a grabbit

sticky.gif Sticky: Posting On The Grab It Board

Look at this in the thread above

This board is for short-term, grab it deals only. Anything else, including general supermarket offers (bogof, half price or 3for2 etc) should be placed on the Shop But Dont Drop board.

I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.
  • You can't get much more grabbit than something that goes up 100% in less than 24 hours!
  • Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies.
