surely you mean where mega corps openly become the governemnt.

The terrorists can just sit on their hands and watch the USA destroy itself. Bin Laden must be p*****g himself right now.
Personally I don't think the plan was the answer but GWB said it was and warned of the consequences. So his version of the consequences will happen. GWB the greatest 'short' of them all.0 -
Gold might not save you, if you look up the abolision of the gold standard, and the depression the gold was seized from everone, punishable by 10 years in prison for not complying.
and what is gold? it's just a metal with a man made perceved value that far exceeds its usefullness.
it only has value as long as the powers that be tell us it does.0 -
Many ordinary Americans will be very pleased their representatives have let Wall Street feel some more pain. 6% fall? What's the big deal? Life goes on.
Many others will start to get concerned about their pensions and the savings for their children's college funds.
It will be interesting to see which way public opinion goes. Do they see Wall Street falls as a sneaky way the ****ers are putting pressure on Joe Public or do they see the falls as the start of inevitable economic Armagedon?
At least Congress's decision will give them a chance to talk about it before any deed is done.0 -
