On the first day, Jewish New Year or Rosh Hashanah, the books of account are opened, and Jews divided into three groups - the righteous, the damned, and the majority in the middle. The majority have until Yom Kippur, 10 days later, to sort themselves out (-:

There must be an awful lot of the majority in the middle who frankly, my dear, don't give a d*mn. Yet, they survive from one year to the next. Have you been able to find any teaching that explains away that apparent anomaly?

BTW: Recipe for honey cake - go to Carmelli and hand over £3.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

This will make about 25 choux buns... The sooner you eat them the better - within 4 hours certainly

I think we can manage that between just the two of us haha :D:D:D

"Put 150ml and 50g of butter in a saucepan" - is there an all important noun missing there?

    Thanks :)

Um. No. We're more focused on eating the honey biscuits and stewed apple, sorry.

My honey biscuits are nice, I'll have you know, and quick to make.

The missing section between 150ml and and is, "of gin in a glass with ice adding tonic and lemon. Then put 150ml of water".

Choux pastry is really cheap and simple to make and is one of those things that is so unbelievably better made than bought.

Economies in recession and depression don't need as much oil.

Welcome to deflation. Even if the bill gets passed in the future it is still deflation. The extra money isn't enough to stop the deflating consequences of the mega-boom and all the mal-investment that went with it.

True. But Jim O'Neill of Goldman Sachs for example takes the view that what happens to the oil price in the next few months will have a much greater impact on global economic growth than what happens to credit....and the oil price seems to be falling...

    see I am an optimist:D

Not everyone thinks the bailout is a good idea. It's that "rear view mirror" thing again isn't it? Does anyone have a definite opinion on the bail out - for or against?
