Well I made it to swimming, only 11 lengths but in Olympic size pool, 50m rather than 25m so equivalent of 22, just over 1/3 of a mile . Legs & bum sore :o. Actually, could have done more but back was hurting. Much preferred it to normal size pool (once over initial shock - it's a lonnnnnnnggggggg way to the other end :o).

Ebay parcel sent, can't think of anything else to sell at the mo, will need to wait till after holiday anyway.

Been trying not to think about work question, although a quick look on jobsites last night confirmed my initial thoughts. Not the right time to be making decisions anyway as am in worst period for travelling, am sure I will settle again

Have emailed Egg to swap 2 standing orders over to new savings account rather than offset. Not a lot of effort really to get an extra 1% net interest, and hopefully over the next year that will be an extra £100-200 in the pot.

Staying away in DeVere hotel near office tomorrow night, £10 cost and has a nice pool (not 50m though so not my usual standard :rotfl:). Internet access pretty ropey but will give it a go and am taking a 20p book with me so will have a relaxing night :T. Have sorted out my dinner to take with me, must remember to pick a few toms in the morning to go with it :)

Glad Stuart is back, may need to pick his brains on funds :o

    12 more sleeps :T

When OH started going swimming with me a few years ago he did 6 lengths in the first session (his back hurt too), within a few months he had built it up to 50! Think of how many people don't do anything in the country, it doesn't cost too much to get into a swimming pool and it stops you spending money while you are in there and you get fit at the same time. Well done

GG try to look at the 3,5 and 10year goals and mindmap the whole work-life issue. However, if you are finding that you don't also get something good from the job, then it would be sensible to consider a move, based upon other aspects such as whether it means moving home, OH's job etc? I hope you can work things through - maybe even consider trying to push company to change your job a bit or get a promotion to improve job satisfaction or simply improve CV for next job?

    GG wow :o:o:o
See the latest post on my thread with present performance on the set of funds I'm in. However these are all medium or high risk.....

Trouble is Stuart 3 yr plan says pay mortgage no.1 off, 5 yr says pay mortgage no. 2 off, 10 year plan says 'you are in Spain by now, aren't you '. OK, so more to them than that but that's the main topic. I do enjoy my job, but the 3.5hr round trip to the office is tiring & at this time of year I have no option. Still, back to normal next month, will be allowed out to [STRIKE]play[/STRIKE] visit clients again. Moving not really an option, my 4 bed house is worth 150k, where my office is I would get a 1 bed flat for that & that would affect my quality of life even more than my journey. Also DS still at home (admittedly he could go to his dad's) & OH's elderly mum nearby. Changing job not really an option as they would be all even more office based. So, either stick with current job & accept down side or take local job, have a life but completely rip up plans . I don't think I've helped myself by doing a lot of mystery shopping - have already decided to be much more selective about this. Anyway, delayed gratification it is - and I don't exactly have a bad life - e.g. 6 trips to Spain, 1 to Canaries & 1 to NY this year :o

Have had a quick look Stuart, will look again. OH's accounts are all HBOS funds & probably low to medium risk (they aren't rated). Performance has been dire so I'm instructed to change them & it will be medium to high risk. Might just copy your funds, that will save my time & effort :rotfl:, and I do know you have one (FSAP) I will be selecting.

TPA :rotfl:. I have lots of toms starting to ripen, if it's any consolation there will probably be tons ripe next week when I'm on holiday ;).

    6 sleeps :j

Toms are lovely, red nicer than yellow.

Sml we are lucky enough to have an apartment in Southern Spain, so off there

    3 sleeps :)

£43 MS money in so off to offset :T.

Got a bit confused over what money automatically goes to offset & what I have to transfer :o, will be moving £270 in the morning, can't do transfers in evening for some reason

    Did I mention 3 more sleeps :j
